Non-Executive Director Change

24 September 2021

Carr's (CARR.L), the Agriculture and Engineering Group, announces that Non-Executive Director Kristen Eshak Weldon will not be standing for re-election at the Group's AGM expected to take place on 11 January 2022.

From 27 September 2021, Kristen will be taking up a new role as Global Head of Sustainable Investing at a financial services organisation.  It is a condition of her new role that Kristen avoids any potential conflicts of interest, which includes holding office as a Non-Executive Director at a publicly quoted company.

Kristen was appointed to the Board of Carr's as an independent Non-Executive Director in October 2020.  Arrangements have been put in place to ensure that conflicts of interest do not arise during the period to the AGM in January 2022.  The Board is satisfied that Kristen remains independent.

The Nomination Committee will be reviewing its plans for succession, and an update will be provided in due course.

Peter Page, Chairman, commented: "We wish Kristen success in her new role and are grateful for her contribution over the last 12 months."
